Replicate an Item#

The Replicate command submits a request to copy an item to a destination configured by your repository administrator. The workflow service processes the request, either immediately or at a scheduled time.

  1. Browse to the item under a remote repository. The command is available for remote items, rather than local checkouts.

  2. In the Repository tab of the ribbon, click Replicate.

  3. In the dialog, choose a destination from the list.

  4. Enter your email address in the Email field.

  5. If you would like the request to run later, select a date and time in the scheduling field. Enter the time in your local time zone. Leave the field empty to submit a request without a scheduled time.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Colectica confirms that your publication request has been submitted.

The request identifies the version of the item you selected. The submission message confirms receipt of the request; the workflow service still needs to perform the replication.

The destination list comes from the source repository’s workflow configuration. If no destinations are configured, Colectica reports that there are no publication targets and does not submit a request. Contact your repository administrator to configure a destination.

Canceling the dialog or leaving the destination unselected does not submit a request. If submission fails, Colectica displays a failure message with the error details.
