Create a Study in a Series#

The Create New Study in Series command creates a study using information already recorded for its series. This provides a starting point for a new wave or round of a repeated study.

Navigate to a series inside one of your local checkouts.
In the Add tab of the ribbon, click Create New Study in Series.
Enter a name for the new study and click OK.
Colectica creates the study, adds it to the series, and opens it.
Review the copied information and enter the details specific to the new study, such as its collection dates and coverage.

The study uses the series’ agency identifier and the name you entered as its title. Colectica also copies citation information, the abstract, purpose, series statement, funding, coverage, and study universe.

References to the series’ metadata packages, data collections, logical products, and physical products are added to the study. These refer to the existing items; the command does not create independent copies of them. If the series is inside a project, the study is also added to that project’s study list.
