Clear Concordance Relationships#

The Clear Concordance Relationships command removes the links from variables to represented variables and conceptual variables. This is useful when you want to rebuild the concordance for a dataset or series.

  1. Navigate to the dataset, study, series, or subgroup whose concordance relationships you would like to clear.

  2. In the Advanced area of the Dataset ribbon tab, click Clear Concordance Relationships.

  3. Wait for the command to finish gathering and updating the variables.

Scope of the Changes#

When run on a dataset, the command processes the variables in the logical records of its first data relationship. When run on a study, series, or subgroup, it finds the datasets within that item and processes the first data relationship of each dataset.

Both the represented-variable reference and the direct conceptual-variable reference are cleared where present. The represented variables and conceptual variables themselves are not deleted. Other items may still refer to them.

Note

The command begins when you click it; there is no confirmation dialog. Check the selected item before running it, especially when working with a study or series containing several datasets.
