Create Quality Fields from Concepts#

You can use a concept set to define the information that should be recorded about quality. Colectica provides separate commands for creating compliance definitions on a quality standard and fields on a quality statement.

Create Definitions on a Quality Standard#

  1. Navigate to the quality standard.

  2. In the Quality tab of the ribbon, click Create compliance definitions from Concept Set.

  3. Use the item chooser to select the concept set.

  4. Colectica adds a compliance definition for each concept directly in the set. Review the definitions and enter any additional information required by your standard.

Each definition refers to its corresponding concept. If a definition already refers to the same concept, it is reused. If the selected set contains a newer version of that concept, the definition’s reference is updated to that version.

Create Fields on a Quality Statement#

  1. Navigate to the quality statement.

  2. In the Quality tab of the ribbon, click Choose Quality Concepts.

  3. Use the item chooser to select the concept set.

  4. Colectica adds a field for each concept directly in the set.

  5. Fill in the statement’s quality information. Use Save on the quick access toolbar to save your edits.

Existing fields for the same concepts are retained, including the information you have entered. Their concept references are updated when the selected set contains newer versions. Fields for other concepts are not removed.
