First Run Configuration

The first time you access a newly installed deployment of Colectica Repository via the Web portal, you will see a configuration page.

Administrator Email

The email address of the administrator account to be created

Administrator Password

The password of the administrator account to be created

Confirm Administrator Password

The same password, entered again

Site Name

The name of the site, as displayed in the upper left corner of the site

Allow Anonymous Access

Determines whether users who are not logged in can access the portal

Allow User Registration

Determines whether users who are not administrators can create their own accounts. If turned off, only administrators can create new accounts.

Note

The Administrator Email, Administrator Password, and Confirm Administrator Password fields will not appear if Windows authentication is used, because the logged-in Windows user’s roles are configured in windowsauth.settings.json. See Configure Active Directory.

After entering the appropriate information, click the Get Started button to configure your site and visit the home page. Log in with the administrator account to continue configuring the site.

Note

If the page reports that DiskCachePath is required, set the DiskCachePath setting in appsettings.json and restart the application.

Note

If you need to reset the administrator, you can add the email address of an existing user account to the DefaultAdminUser property in the RepositoryDir\appsettings.json, and restart the Repository. The user is granted the ColecticaAdministrator role at startup.
