Upgrade a Classification to DDI 3.3#
Older classification metadata may be stored as code lists and code list groups using the Copenhagen Mapping conventions. Colectica can convert these items to the classification types provided by DDI-Lifecycle 3.3.
Navigate to a code list representing a legacy classification, or a code list group representing a legacy classification family.
In the Classifications tab of the ribbon, click Upgrade classification to DDI 3.3 structure.
Colectica converts the item and saves the resulting classification metadata to the repository from which you opened the item. You can follow the operation in the Progress pane.
The converted item is checked out locally. Open the new checkout and review its contents.
A legacy classification code list becomes a statistical classification. A legacy classification-family group becomes a classification family. The original code list or group remains available.
Note
The source item must carry the legacy classification metadata. Although the command appears for code lists and code list groups, it does not convert ordinary code lists or ordinary groups.
