Agencies#

Colectica Repository may be designated as the authoritative source for one or more agencies. An agency is an entity responsible for a particular piece of data or metadata, and corresponds to the registration authority identifier (RAI) of a 11179 international registration data identifier (IRDI). The repository can also host read-only copies of items for which it is not authoritative. This allows for a complete copy of all metadata being located in the repository even if it references external resources.

The Agencies page is located at /admin/agency. It lists the agencies for which this instance of Colectica Repository is authoritative.

Add an Agency#

To add a new agency to the repository:

  1. Click the Create an Agency button, or Create your first agency if no agencies exist.

  2. In the dialog, enter the Agency ID and a Name for the agency. Click the Create button.

    The agency ID must be a valid DNS host name, such as example.org or int.example.

  3. Your agency will be added to the list.

Edit an Agency#

To change the name of an agency, click the Edit link next to the agency, enter the new name, and click Edit. The agency ID cannot be changed.

Remove an Agency#

To remove an agency, click the Delete link next to the agency. You will be prompted to confirm that you want to remove the agency. Removing an agency does not remove any items; the repository is simply no longer authoritative for that agency.
