Validate Metadata QualityΒΆ

Colectica Designer can check the quality of your metadata. Built-in metadata validation checks include:

  • Ensure variables have defined types

  • Ensure questions have defined response types

  • Ensure variables have names

  • Ensure variables are in variable groups

  • Ensure items have labels

  • Ensure data files have summary statistics

Custom validation checks can be created as Colectica Designer Addins.

Follow these steps to check the quality of your metadata.

  1. Navigate to an item.

  2. Click the Validate Metadata Quality button on the ribbon.

  3. Choose where you would like to save your report.

  4. Colectica will create your metadata validation report.
